Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about membership, standards, and FGLOC.
What is FGLOC?
The Federation of Gold Loan India Forum (FGLOC) is a collaborative industry platform working to strengthen governance, responsible lending practices and common standards across India’s gold-backed credit sector.
Who can become a member?
Institutions engaged in lending against gold — including NBFCs, banks and other regulated lenders — are invited to apply. See the Membership page for the current criteria and process.
Is FGLOC a regulator?
No. FGLOC is a self-regulatory industry platform, not a statutory or regulatory body. It does not replace or override the oversight of India’s existing financial regulators.
How do I access FGLOC’s research and publications?
Published white papers and industry research are available on the White Papers and Industry & Research pages, and are free to read.
How can I contact FGLOC?
Use the Contact page for general enquiries, or the Grievance Redressal page for a specific concern about a member institution.
